SSI – Capital Letters – CANCELLED

Unfortunately due to the extension to coronavirus restrictions, Capital Letters has been cancelled for 2021 and will now take place 14th May 2022

CAPITAL LETTERS Day 2021 will feature:

• The Daubney Lecture, “Calligraphy and Illumination in the Royal Library” given this year by Dr Stella Panayotova, Royal Librarian and Assistant Keeper of the Royal Archives
• Lay Members’ Exhibition with commentary by Gerald Mynott FSSI
• SSI Advanced Training Scheme showing a selection of their work to celebrate the completion of three years of intense study
• Students from the SSI Study Days displaying their projects
• A variety of demonstrations of calligraphy and associated skills by renowned practitioners
• Calligraphic suppliers including the ever-popular Scribblers and others
• Regional Group display by Calderdale Calligraphers
• Society of Italic Handwriting and East Surrey College
• SSI Archives and Library displays, SSI Sales and Raffle
• Goody bag
